Drabble
by Kevin Fagan

Over the past two decades, the Drabble family has tickled readers' funny bones with outrageous antics. Kevin Fagan's lighthearted family strip chronicles the zany mishaps of his offbeat characters, especially goofball college student Norman Drabble and his donut-eating father Ralph. One of the best-loved families in the comics, the Drabble clan also includes smart younger brother Patrick, precocious little sister Penny, and June, the Drabble matriarch best known as "Honeybunch." Drabble appears in more than 200 newspapers worldwide, and Fagan receives tons of e-mail messages from fans of his over-the-top humor. Fagan developed the idea for Drabble while in college and, at age 21, became the nation's youngest syndicated cartoonist when his comic strip debuted in 1979. Over the years, Drabble has grown into an endearingly silly strip with universal appeal and a loyal following. From Norm's relentless pursuit of his dream girl to Ralph's hilarious power struggles with Oogie the cat, Drabble is always full of witty, wacky and wonderful humor. The genuine love that keeps the Drabbles from driving each other crazy makes it one of the best family comic strips around, and the loony things they do make it one of the funniest. There are eight Drabble book collections, including the most recent book, Who Wants to be a Fenderhead (NBM, 2001). Fagan also creates a line of Drabble greeting cards for Recycled Paper Greetings. He lives with his wife and their three children in Mission Viejo, California.
