United Feature Syndicate was founded in 1922, and went on to fame as the syndicator of such household names as Carl Sandburg, Ernest Hemingway, Ring Lardner, and a host of superstar comics including PEANUTS, the most beloved comic strip in history. Eleanor Roosevelt wrote her "My Day" column for United Feature Syndicate from 1936 until 1962, becoming the first First Lady in history to write a newspaper column.
